Delray
Beach, FL (June 15, 2007)—Ticket packages
for the 2008 Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC), which
will be held at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center February 9-17, will
go on sale on Friday, June 15 to the general public at 10:00 am. The ticket
packages include reserved series and box seats.
The 2008 Delray Beach ITC is the first stop on the ATP’s North American
circuit and will be celebrating its 10th year in Delray Beach. Although the
event will continue to follow the Australian Open, there is now a two-week
layoff after the Grand Slam event, providing a rest for players before
beginning the hard court season in the United States.
Delray Beach has a history of attracting some of the biggest stars in the
game. Already committed for 2008 are Bob and Mike Bryan, currently the No. 1
doubles team in the world. Other stars who have played in Delray Beach
include seven former world No.1-ranked players—Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick,
Lleyton Hewitt, Carlos Moya, Jim Courier, Patrick Rafter and Marcelo Rios.
Championship Series ticket packages, which include priority reserved
chair-back seating for all 13 sessions, start at $250 while the Weekender
Series starts at $200 and includes chair-back reserved seating for the
quarterfinals through the finals (five sessions on Friday, Saturday and
Sunday).
Courtside box seats packages are priced between $1,030 and $1,200 for two
seats, or $1730 to $2,300 for four. All box seat packages include amenities
like preferred parking and invitations to the exclusive Box Holders Party.
The 2008 tournament will be celebrating its 10th year in Delray Beach, where
it has been played at the Delray Beach Stadium & Tennis Center since 1999.
