Delray Beach International Tennis Championships
$1 million in Player Compensation, 65,000+ spectators, and the World’s only combined 10-day ATP event featuring:

  • "ATP Champions Tour" event (Feb. 22 – 24, 2013) featuring players that must have been either a World No. 1 during their competitive playing careers, a Grand Slam singles finalist, or a singles player in a victorious Davis Cup team; Tour players include John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Andrea Agassi, Mats Wilander, Patrick Rafter, Boris Becker, Mark Philippoussis, Michael Chang, Pat Cash, Aaron Krickstein, Jimmy Arias, etc.*
  • "ATP World Tour" event (Feb. 25 – Mar. 3, 2013) featuring many of the top-ranked men's professionals in the world (past players include Agassi, Roddick, Blake, Hewitt, Haas, Bryan Brothers), televised nationally/ internationally, one of only 12 ATP World Tour Events in the United States, host to 20+ hospitality/networking functions and multiple amateur tennis events *2013 Player commitments to be announced soon

Position Overview: Interns will be fully involved in both items listed below
 
Inside Sales Administrative Internship
 
  • Implementation of a two-dimensional marketing campaign
  • Managing outgoing calls to previous ticket holders and qualified leads
  • Managing incoming calls in response to a marketing campaign
  • Operation of a call center prior to a tournament
  • Maintaining databases of customers
  • Learning and implementing scripting and technique
 
  • Tournament relations (with players, sponsors, media public)
  • Corporate and on-court promotions
  • Special Events: hospitality, catering, charitable functions
  • Corporate sponsor initiatives
  • Tournament operations
  • Website design, function and maintenance
  • Social Media Marketing
 
The items are only portions of what you work experience will encompass.  You will be involved in everything from tournament operations, tournament relations (with players, sponsors, media, public, etc.) and hospitality & catering, while working with major corporate sponsors such as Boca Raton Resort, Champion Porsche,CBS Outdoor, Palm Beach Post, ESPN, Corona Extra, Pepsi Beverages Company, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seagate Hotel & Spa, Sun-Sentinel, Unique Travel of Palm Beaches and others.
