Holiday Designated Champs

The sister company of the Delray Beach Int’l Tennis Championships proud to host the HOLIDAY DESIGNATED TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS hosted by the City of Delray Beach, held December 7 – 9, 2013 and consisting of over 250 of the best juniors in Florida competing in the Boys’ & Girls’ 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s age divisions – one of Florida Tennis Association’s largest sanctioned events.  Click for draws, results and match times and if you have any questions, feel free to call 561.330.6003.

DOUBLES – IMPORTANT

The doubles deadline is Wednesday, December 4 @ 4pm. If you have a partner and/or would like for us to pair you with someone, please email ibaron@YellowTennisBall.com (make sure to get a confirmation email). Doubles draws will be posted online Friday, December 6 @ 2pm. Doubles matches begin Saturday, December 7 in the afternoon (following the singles matches).

EVENT INFO & FORMAT (weather pending)

• Matches.  Held at multiple facilities, within 10-15 minutes from each other. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE SITE THAT YOU COMPETE AT (check the initials on the draws) & check in 20 minutes before your match time.
• Practice courts  before Saturday, Dec. 7. Participants must call the match sites to reserve your courts  (please do not just show up and ask for a court) – two persons per court, if courts are full, four persons per court.
• Practice courts beginning Saturday, Dec. 7. Courts are 1st come, 1st serve. 8+ clay courts will be available 45 minutes before the first match at the each of the match sites, as well as 1-2 courts (hard or clay) throughout the day. All match sites begin @ 8am daily.
• Draws. Singles posted online on Wednesday, December 4 @ 5pm; Doubles posted online on Friday, December 6 @ 2pm.
• Singles: Main draw consists of 32 players. All singles main draw and singles consolation matches will be the best of 3 tie-break sets with a 10-point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set.
• Doubles: Single-elimination event consisting of 16 teams. Matches will consists of an 8-game Pro-set
• Day 1: Two Main Draw Singles, one consolation singles, one-two doubles matches
• Day 2: Two Main Draw Singles, two consolation singles, one-two doubles matches
• Day 3: Finals & 3/4 Playoff (Main Draw), three consolation singles, zero-one doubles matches
• Maximum matches per day: Four matches per day as long as two of four matches are doubles… Exception: Three singles matches will be played on Monday to get through to the end of the tournament
• Rest period between matches (click for full description). Singles to singles : 1.5 hours. Singles to doubles: 1 hour. Doubles to doubles: 30 minutes+
• Players entering this event must have their residency papers on file at the USTA Florida Office – click for details.
